Jean-Pierre left BTMS to retire. He then decided to merge BTMS with SEQUEM so that all activities were taken over under the SEQUEM name.

Pierre then took the initiative to create a subsidiary in France for the French market, which he called Services et Équipements Industriels (SEQUEM).

Pierre, François and Marie Servaes, Jean-Pierre's children, became part of the company; but BTMS was no longer enough for them: they needed to widen their horizons.

Marcel was succeeded by his nephew, Jean-Pierre Servaes, who steered BTMS to allow it to gradually enter a new generation of Servaes.

The company Bureau Technique Marcel Servaes (BTMS), an agent for marketing HERBORN products for Belgium and Luxembourg, opens its doors! Marcel Servaes was to hold the reins without releasing them for many years.
